My Story

This blogging site was started in early 2024 following the loss of my baby boy Zayd who returned back to our Lord on 9th January shortly after delivery. "Verily to God we belong and to Him is our return." This is the saying of Muslims when we lose our loved ones as reminder our children are a gift from Him and we will all return to Him one day. Zayd was the most beautiful and precious gift given to us, even though he was with us for less than a day on earth, we are comforted in the knowledge he is waiting for us in Paradise for an eternity of happiness. After losing Zayd, I found myself like so many other women who have lost their babies either in or after pregnancy coping with grief, uncertainty and many nights I lay awake and I thought to myself I will write letters to Zayd to keep my memory of him alive. I also learnt so much from my pregnancy about God's infinite Mercy and Help during the most incredibly difficult time of our lives, so I wanted to share some of my journal reflections on love, loss and hope from this time, so I began to write which in many ways helped me process my grief at the loss of our precious baby boy and hope that it might help other parents who are going through pregnancy complications or loss themselves.
